Are you currently accepting new families?

We are currently accepting applications for the 2026-2027 school year!

What does the application process involve?

All families (new and returning) must submit an application as part of our membership process. Returning families are given priority during our Early Decision period, which is open to new families through January 31.

Our process includes:

1. Application Submission
Families submit an application for review. Each application is thoughtfully and prayerfully considered to assess alignment with our mission and community values.

2. Tour & Family Interview
Families who move forward are invited to visit and participate in a family interview with leadership.

3. Student Assessment
Kindergarten assessments are required. Additional assessments may be conducted as needed to support appropriate placement.

4. Membership Decision
Families applying during Early Decision will receive a decision no later than February 10.

Important Notes:
• Advancement through each step is by invitation only
• Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance
• Families are selected based on alignment with our mission, values, and educational philosophy

Where are you located?

We are currently located in Shelton, Connecticut. Facility details are shared with prospective families during the application process.

What ages or grade levels do you serve?

We currently accept applications for children in Kindergarten through 8th grade.

We are also building a prospective list for select high school-level courses (9th–12th grade). Families interested in future offerings may email info@connecticutcrossacademy.org.

We anticipate expanding into full-time high school programming in the coming years.

What is your student-to-teacher ratio?

Class sizes are intentionally limited to approximately 12–14 students. This allows us to maintain a more individualized and relational learning environment.

Will grades be combined?

For the 2026–2027 program year (based on participation):
• Individual classes: Kindergarten through 4th grade
• Combined classes: 5th/6th and 7th/8th

What curriculum do you use?

We utilize a variety of curriculum resources taught through a Biblical worldview. These include programs such as Abeka, BJU Press, and supplemental unit-based studies.

What are the costs?

Membership fees for the 2026–2027 program year are outlined on our Membership Fees page.

Do you offer financial aid?

We are actively growing a Blessing Fund to support families with demonstrated financial need.

While assistance is not guaranteed, families may indicate need during the application process.

Our structure is designed to support families through Biblical teaching, discipleship, and education within a Christ-centered environment.

Are there requirements to join?

Yes. Families must complete an application and be approved through our process.

Those who are invited to join will enter into a membership agreement, reflecting a shared commitment to our mission, values, and community expectations.

Do you accept children with special learning needs?

At this time, our program is best equipped to serve children who can thrive in a small-group, structured environment without the need for specialized services.

We encourage families to reach out so we can have a conversation about whether our program is the right fit for their child.

Connecticut Cross Academy is a ministry-based program designed to support families through faith-centered instruction and community. Participation is voluntary and rooted in shared beliefs, values, and commitment to our mission.
